Define your goals
You are about to spend several hours with a professional sound engineer, let’s make the best out of it! To do so, you will need to define your session’s goal.
Among your ideas , pick the song you would like to record. Prepare your instruments and voice and practice (not too much!) your song.
Visualize the step you would like to acheive at the end of session. A piece of advice, don’t set the bar too high depending on your session duration. Take the time to record yoursel properly and take advantage of the professional’s expertise.
Set up your equipment
If you sing, play acoustic guitar and few cords of the synth… Make sure to have all your equipment ready for the session! Mic, headset, sound card and MIDI cables are correctly plug. If you ever have doubt about with your set up, feel free to ask the sound engineer at the start of the session!
